Necessities for a Woman

A lady would never leave home without her cell phone, her favorite lip gloss, perhaps her AMEX, and in many cases, her mace. But a true woman of mystery conceals her necessities in style, and by 'conceal', I'm referring to concealed weapons.

Netherlands artist, Ted Noten, makes it simple for any girl to tote her bare essentials (minus the ginormous hefty bag purse we all own) all while channeling Laura Croft, Ms. Smith, SALT...

"Necessities for a Woman" is a concept piece currently on display at Design Miami/Basel, featuring a 7 piece collection of cleverly crafted items for the woman on the go. The "Chanel001", seen above, includes a Chanel lip gloss, an antique hairpin, a 18k gold toothpick, a perfume bottle with an 18k gold mechanism, a 50 gram 24k gold bar, a USB stick, and a Viagra pill. 

It would take a man to believe that every woman should keep Viagra on deck at any given moment. 

For Dior girls, we have the "Dior001" which includes Dior lip gloss, an antique hairpin, a cocktail of unknown pharmaceuticals loaded in the chamber, a USB stick with “secret information,” and a 100-gram sterling silver bar.

The “Uzi Mon Amour” suitcase edition isn't exactly discreet, but if a lady insists on carrying a semi-automatic weapon, it doesn't hurt to own a 24K gold plated one. The piece is engraved with flowers (because that's what we love) and is cast in an acrylic suitcase. 
Should you ever encounter a stranger in the alley, recite the Chinese love poem that's engraved around the silencer as a warning shot.
