My favorite Rude Gal Rihanna recently decked out her LA pad with a sparkling new piece of artwork inspired by the eternally fabulous Marilyn Monroe. The "Birthday Cake" crooner commissioned British artist Claire Milner to work closely with her interior designers for this 5 foot masterpiece made with 65,000 Swarovski crystals. The price of this piece that truly fit for a diva, is reportedly around £100,000 although the artist says that she has not disclosed an actual number.
Check out the artist Claire Milner inside.
The Marilyn artwork is 5-feet by 5-feet and has 65,000 hand set crystals attached to Acrylic. It took Milner four months to create and it weighs about 80 kilograms.
"I tried to show the glitter of the public life and then the sadness in Marilyn's eyes," Milner told The Sun.
The collaboration with Rih-Rih seems to be a perfect fit, as Milner has made pieces inspired by the pop singer in the past. The artist has a piece called "Contemplating Rihanna" on her work site, seen below.
Contemplating Rihanna

The singing Rihannas' costume documents her musical career and accolades, includes quotations, song lyrics and charts her rise to stardom.
