Birthstone: April DIAMOND

Throughout history, these gems have been celebrated though music, admired for their timeless beauty, and sought after by blushing bachelorettes. For the lucky population of people who where born in the month of April, their birthstone is none other than the mother of all precious stones, the Diamond. Birthstones: March AQUAMARINE

As we close out this February (after enjoying an extra day this year for leap year), we come into the month of March which is represented by the birthstone,  Aquamarine. This lovely blueish-green hued stone is thought to have properties that promote friendship, courage and faithfulness in the wearer. Birthstone: February AMETHYST

Known to be associated with royalty and wealth for its purple hue, and oddly enough once thought to ward off drunkenness (derived from Greek word "amethystos" meaning "not drunken") the beautiful Amethyst is the official birthstone for those born in February.

Birthstone: January GARNET

We're going to start of the year with a bit of re-educating on Birthstones. We all have one, and according to some traditions, our birthstones represent specific traits that we each posses according to where our birthday falls in the calendar year.

Now I know we all wish that we were born under the month that corresponds with diamonds (hey there April babies) but for now, we'll start with Garnets.
