Michael Jackson Hair Immortalized in Roulette Ball?

When it comes to gambling, we've all heard the phrase, "always bet on black". It's actually become a personal mantra of mine after a number of successful trips to Vegas. But soon some lucky high roller will be able to say that he always bets on.... Mike?
As odd as it sound's (and by odd, I mean extremely high on the WTF meter) a sample of the late Michael Jackson's hair is being used to create a one-off roulette ball. The confirmed lock of hair was acquired through an online Michael Jackson memorabilia auction and is currently owned by gaming company OnlineGamblingPal.com. The lock of hair fetched for the sum of $10,871 dollars and the gaming company is reportedly moving forward with plans to manufacture a regulation style roulette ball to be used publicly at casinos. Really?

Made You Look. Diamond Contact Lenses

Can you believe your eyes? The piercing peepers you see before you are glowing. But this is more than the typical 'twinkle in the eye', or some run of the mill Halloween contacts. These are, to my knowledge, the first line of contact lenses made with actual gold and diamonds. Right.
Indian specialist, Dr. Chandrashekhar Chawan of Shekhar Eye Research Pvt Ltd., is pushing the boundaries of ocular opulence with La SER Eye Jewelry.
I'll admit, at first glance, they are a bit shocking. I'm envisioning an imaginary scene from the movie Twilight with an Edward vs Jacob staring contest, but I digress...

"Breakfast at Planned Parenthood"... REALLY?

An interesting article was posted recently on Townhall.com by self proclaimed "Pro-lifer" Ashley McGuire regarding a proposed boycott on Tiffany's.
According to McGuire, ladies should cringe at the idea of accepting their signature blue box of goodies because apparently, Tiffany & Co is among the Pro-choicers as a corporate sponsor for Planned Parenthood.
Decide if you care (or not) after the jump.

Dunce Cap Awards: Foiled Robbery Attempt

Once upon a time, fearsome pirates would take to the sea and capture booty by force with swords and canons. Unsuspecting seamen didn't stand a chance.
Fast forward to today, these geniuses are trying to rob jewelry stores with a brick and a prayer.
Unfortunately some guy in Hollywood failed to realize that today's jewelers are packing heat to protect their booty.
See how this masked marauder managed to grab a handful of jewels and catch a bullet all in one day.

Damien Hirst Brings New Life to Dead Baby

We all want to top ourselves. There's no greater feeling than outselling your last album. Or perhaps smashing your own world record. Plateauing is for *ahem*, pansies, and a downward slope is the quickest route to obscurity.
It makes me wonder if artist Damien Hirst is set out to top his own shocking creations or if he just likes to watch his audience squirm.
I'll bet this dead baby skull that it's some creepy combination of both.

BUSTED!! 80 Year Old Jewelry Thief Caught in the Act

Hide your rings, hide your watch...
Jewelry thieves are blending in with society like mild mannered reporters/caped crusaders these days.
An 80 year old granny could very well be making prison her new home for her involvement in a recent jewelry theft in San Diego.
Doris Payne was convicted of grand theft and burglary in connection with the Jan. 2 a stolen $8,900 ring from Macy's.
And this isn't her first time at the rodeo. Payne has reportedly been flexing her five finger discount for decades making stops in New York, Las Vegas, London, Paris, Monte Carlo and Tokyo.
A 12 year prison sentence back in 1999 didn't stop her either. She quickly bounced back in 2005 while on parole to swipe a $8,500 ring in Nevada and a $31,500, three-stone diamond ring from a Neiman Marcus in Palo Alto, The Times reported back in an interview back in 2008.
If convicted of her latest crime, Payne will serve another five years in prison. Really grandma?
There are now talks of a movie about her life in the works to played by Halle Berry.

Well, that's one way to get famous...vK
