Nas Mayan Inspired Chain

Nasir Jones has officially shut the chain game down.
The Legendary Nas unveiled a new pendant, made exclusively by Jason of Beverly Hills, during his performance at the South By Southwest Festival (SXSW) earlier this month that will have chain lovers drooling.
The pendant boasts over a kilo of 18k gold and is covered in flawless white diamonds. It features a 3D bust of Chichen Itza, the ancient Mayan pyramid that sits at the historic archaeological site in Mexico. One of the most impressive features is the spot-on, replica engraving of the Mayan calendar on the back of the piece.
The streets are already buzzing about the new album, "Life Is Good", but right here, you can get your first close up look at the piece that caused a "chain reaction" at SXSW.

Beardgang. Ask About It.

The Beardgang. Say what you will about excessive facial hair, but these guys are growing in numbers. The intimidating stare of a man with a massive beard is known to send some running for the hills. But as they say, you can either 'run with them, or run from them'.
To wear a facial badge of such unbridled self assurance doesn't come easy to all. It's not for everyone. The sad examples of patchy, girlie man beards just go to show the lengths that some will go to achieve such stature. The fact is, that Beardgang 'membership has its privileges', among many include the undeniable fact that the ladies love their ambience.
Now, in spirit of the gang, a diamond pendant has been forged in the likeness of their bearded leader, Adam Goldston by none other than (beardless) jeweler, Jason of Beverly Hills. See more after the jump. If you have the FUR.

Jason Arasheben- CEO of Jason of Beverly Hills

There's nobody in pop culture that wears his jewelry better than Kanye West-- HANDS DOWN! Much like his music, Ye thinks outside the box with his clothes as well as his jewelry. More importantly he's been consistently versatile with his style throughout his career.

Sometimes he let's the the clothes accessorize the jewels.
And sometimes the jewels are the accessory.
Either way he's not afraid to push the envelope. It's funny how Kanye hit the stage about a year ago with 10 or so yellow gold chains stacked on top of each other and people ripped him to shreds. They immediately went in on the Mr. T jokes only to find themselves a year later wearing the same thing.

I personally can't wait to see where he's headed next as far as jewelry trends. Of course, the jeweler in me would prefer that he actually give me a chance to make the pieces for him. -JA

I Challenge You

-Jason Arasheben
CEO Jason of Beverly Hills
I challenge you!
From the time I was a snotty nosed 8-year old, I always looked for challenges to inspire me; nothing has changed since. It's a great challenge that gets me up each morning when I know I’d rather slam the snooze button another 73 times!

Thousands of pieces of diamond jewelry go in and out of my factory each year. The ordinary requests of tennis bracelets and diamond stud earrings are great, but nearly every mom and pop jewelry store could make it with one finger up their nose and one eye closed. I need a challenge! Clients come and go, but once every blue moon a client peeks my interest and commissions me to do something creative, something out of the box, in other words… A CHALLENGE!!!
I LOVE IT!!!
This week’s challenge: an Egyptian tomb pendant adorned with black, cognac and white diamonds with a removable white diamond mummy that can be worn as a separate piece. Challenge accepted.

Who's next? -JA

3-D Diamond Head Made by Jason of Beverly Hills

So, you're dying to have your likeness recreated in diamonds. No problem.
Check the video for the "Making of" process for one of Jason's latest projects.

What makes this piece special among other NBA bling is the intricate design and 3-D laser imaging process that took place in the making of the face and head weighing in at over 1300 grams of 14k gold.
The flawless black, white and cognac diamonds encase a set of life-like porcelain eyes, similar to those used in the Madame Tussauds’ wax museum figures. It is a stunning piece that you just have to see in person.

Now THAT'S what the hell I call a "chain reaction"...~vk
