"Who Came Harder?" --Star Wars Edition

If you were like me, you were rooting for the Dark Side throughout all three thousand of the Star Wars movies. Maybe its because as a child, I always found it interesting that Darth Vader's voice was strikingly familiar to King Jaffe Joffer from Coming to America ("Do not alert him to my presence. I will deal with him myself...") lol.

But today we are putting two iconic Dark Side characters head to head in our new segment called
"Who Came Harder?"

First, we have the all too familiar Darth Vader pendant that Jason did for Just Blaze a while back. You may have seen him rocking it in Scratch Magazine back in '06.
The black diamonds alone make you want to be a little evil.

Then there's the Imperial Stormtrooper. The ice is killing the game, but you didn't notice the LED eyes that light up...it's the Force.
So the question remains... between the two, which do you think is harder? Give me your feedback in the comments section or shoot me an email at kiana@jasonofbh.

Hot Wheels® 40th Anniversary Car

We all had them right?

You can't tell me you've never shot one of those adorable little cars off your moms coffee table, or built a ramp to see who's Oldsmobile Tornado would catch the most air. (Just me?)

Well I've always been into whips; I'm partial to the 599 Fiorano **shout out to Bryant at Ferrari Beverly Hills, I still want that test drive! But earlier this year, Jason turned me on to something a bit smaller but 10 times as flashy.

We had the opportunity this year to collab with Nick Lechey of boy band 98 Degrees and Hot Wheels® to create this one of a kind piece to commemorate the company's 4 BILLIONTH car. Yeah, no off the ramp tricks with this bad boy.

The "toy" is valued at 140,000 dollars (count the zeros), weighs in at about 22 karats and is dripped in 2700 blue, black and white diamonds with red rubies set as head lights.

The attention to detail on this car is ridiculous. It has a functioning hood with a tiny engine inside covered in white and black diamonds. I imagine that you don't have that kinda juice under your hood. Here are a few pics of the entire process that took 600 man hours to create.

You can have one of these too if you happen to have a couple thousand brilliant blue diamonds lying around...

The cast is made from 18k white gold.

Jason and Nick got the paparazzi going nuts. Watch the vid to see footage from the event.

Chances are, your kid doesn't have one of these in his toy box. But don't you wish you did? ~VK

Deck the Hills

SO, it's a beautiful 80ish degrees outside today in BH and still a good week and a half before Turkey Day. But strangely enough, it's already beginning to look alot like Christmas! The fab retailers on Rodeo didn't waist any time snatching up the Halloween cobwebs and replacing them with ornaments and pine trees covered in faux snow (as if anything in Beverly Hills were faux...) Even Starbucks is ditching its Pumpkin Spice Lattes prematurely for Eggnog Frappuccinos.

It seems like everywhere you go, someone is urging you to get in the Xmas (splurging) spirit. Needless to say, I'm already sold on the idea; as everyday is Xmas at JBH. Check out the first item on my way to early to be shopping list--

Pretty.

Good thing I keep Santa's number on speed dial... wink

As you can see, King James doesn't play when it comes to his whips or his ice! Of course he knew he could come to Jason for the freshness. Fit for a king indeed.

So... who is this JASON guy?

With his youth and energy, Jason Arasheben has worked hard to become the established jeweler of choice for young stars. Still early in his career, Jason earned a global reputation for creating lavish, over-the-top, diamond masterpieces for extremely selective clientele, including European and Middle Eastern royalty.

As a student at UCLA, Jason struggled to support himself, and looked for ways to earn extra money. At nineteen, Jason had a dream of developing and creating a custom jewelry fashion house that epitomized the ultimate form of luxury. Jason decided – against his father’s wishes – to leave the family business and follow his dreams on his own. In Los Angeles he launched his business in a small, run-down apartment he shared with three roommates. Inside five short years, Jason’s business grew from selling silver trinkets to students on the campus of UCLA to creating spectacular diamond pieces for entertainment’s biggest stars in Beverly Hills.

What started as only a dream has now evolved into a multimillion-dollar operation. Unafraid to push the limits of conventionalism, Jason of Beverly Hills has rapidly gained a reputation for creating one-of-a-kind diamond pieces for clients such as Princess Latifa Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Lil’ Jon, Jessica Alba, Tom Cruise, Ashton Kutcher, Missy Elliot and others. Despite its exclusive air, however, Jason of Beverly Hills is beginning to develop lines for public purchase, including those reflecting the sensibilities of today’s most bling-conscious celebrities.

Needless to say, Jason is quite the accomplished jeweler and he surrounds himeself with some of the most hardworking and talented staff in Beverly Hills (toot, toot).

Not to mention, this guy has an awesome tan. ~VK

Welcome to Beverly Hills

...You'll have to excuse my blonde friend here.

Our intention was greet you with the warmest of welcomes to the new Jason of Beverly Hills blog. Alas, Blondie here has taken it upon herself to ward off those who may have "stumbled" across our page fueled only by the desire to hate. I am speaking of those with lumps in their throats the size of golf balls (or my future engagement ring, which ever is bigger) when we come around, but somehow manage to keep our name in their mouths when we're away. My apologies, but all haters must wait outside.

To everyone else, we want to thank you for visiting!! It is my pleasure to invite you into the world of JBH. On this blog, I will be giving you an inside look at all things fabulous; namely custom made and designer jewelry by none other than "El Jefe" himself, Jason Arasheben.

There will be regular updates, so please take a moment to subscribe to our blog. I'll be showcasing some of our most exquisite, one of a kind pieces, our exclusive clientele, reviews in the press, appearances and tidbits on our upcoming reality show. JBH is, hands down, the best in the game; we've got the vault to prove it. Quantity and Quality, as some jewelers tend to forget.

You will definitely like what you see (feel free to salivate, however, we will not be held responsible for educing seizures of any kind. It happens.)

Enjoy ~VK
