Lanvin F/W 2011 Paris

With the shifty weather we are experiencing here in L.A., its hard to tell what season we are in. Sure, we've been having those too-perfect, California sunshine days since February. But just when you thought you were about to slide into those bikini bottoms, the relentless rain appears and you're left wishing you hadn't put away your heavy coats and those sicking boots you bought last fall.
Which brings me to the Lanvin Fall/Winter 2011 collection, shown at Paris Fashion Week. Mix a few pieces from this collection into your wardrobe a little early this year while suffering the vacillating weather.

Alber Elbaz, Lanvin's designer, is begging me to fast forward and dress out of season right now. From the deep hues, the heavy ponchos, to the "Wicked" hats and opera gloves, this collection is a godsend of crappy weather couture. He still managed to bring a spirited tone to the show, ending with some lovely dresses to show off the legs with bold popping colors that defy the mood of the fall/winter season.
Treat yourself.

I had better see some "April flowers" as a result of these "March showers" ~vK
